2013 Fort McHenry Quarter Error – A double explosion

The US mint released the Fort McHenry Quarter August 26, 2013, the 26th release of the America the Beautiful series. The quarter portrays Fort McHenry on the coin’s reverse.

There is doubling on the reverse of some coins. Most errors occur in the firework flash, pictured below.

Additional double die errors can be noticed along the building edge in the center, near the bottom of the waving American flag, and along the windows of the left-center building. Additional images coming soon.

  2. I have a 2013 silver fort mc Henry quarter . On the head side of the quarter at the bottom the edge of the coin is like mis stamped. The edge of the coin is higher in one spot. Does anyone know anything about this. It’s very shiny to.

  3. I have a 2013 quarter wich is smooth around and kinda faded looking and the line on side divides copper and silver is uneven even the ridges and there are dimples all over it

  4. I have 2014 GSD Quarter with lettering errors plus in the center of the coin looks like what could be part of face raised above rest of coin. Please advise
