The US mint released the Great Smoky Mountains Quarter January 27, 2014, the 21st release of the America the Beautiful series. The quarter portrays the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on the coin’s reverse.
As of now, there are no major error varieties of this coin.

I have a 2014 smoky mountains quarter. It is a very dull color. It is not dirty. It looks very different from other quarters I have that are the same year and state. Like they forgot to put the top coat on it to make it shinny.

I also have a 2014 great smoky mountains that looks like the top caught on the presidents head, and on the reverse of the coin the only thing tap coded is the sky. Has anyone else seen this?

At first I thought I had a 20124 GSM quarter without a mint mark. but with a magnifying glass and strong light I find an extremely faint P.
